No, this is not a rant. It’s appreciation with a few complaints.
It’sβ kinky and I honestly love it but there are some trying times with it. Like now, after a whole five months of protective styling, I want it out. To take care of it and show off too but damn, it’s A LOT of work.
I can’t just sleep without moisturising or a scarf over it or I will have to fight with it the next day. I almost always have my hands in it though. I love the kinks and definition.
Planning my outfits along with the hairstyles is a massive thing now. I miss the tiny afro stage where wash and go was the thing. Maybe I should big chop again π€ Thank God for that stage by the way. I didn’t protective style as much, I just took care of it and found my staples (although now I’m on a new staple search because of reasons most naturalistas know.)
Currently, I’m doing the afro and pineapple life everyday. I’m being lazy, I know but I failed to do flat twists so let me be.
Of course I cannot write a post about my hair and not show off its glory (Yes, I believe in its SAUCE B!)
PS: The hair band is hand made by yours truly. Shop to be up and running soon, real soon ππ€ΈπΎββοΈ
My hair envy, mine has a mind of its own.
